Natalie Portman is *flawless* in a super cute red Dior minidress
Move over Barbie pink! We're seeing a *lot* of red this season, but in a good way. ICYMI, the fiery hue is one of the biggest fashion trends for spring/summer and we're already fans. Spotted on the runways of Valentino, Alexander McQueen, Michael Kors, and Sinéad O'Dwyer (to name just a few), 'knock your socks off red' is the colour to know right now.
Off the runway, celebrities are also debuting their own stylish spins on the flaming tone. For starters, it was heckin' everrrrrrywhere at this year's Oscars and, since then, red lewks are showing no signs of abating. So, if you're considering trying the monochrome brief, A-listers are the perfect place to start for slightly more wearable outfit inspo. Don't be fooled, though, this trend lends itself to bold, head-to-toe get-ups that are unapologetically chic.
Here's how celebrities are styling the red trend, on and off the red carpet.
(Getty Images)Natalie Portman has been absolutely *slaying* on the Cannes red carpet this year, and her latest look is no different. To attend the photocall for her upcoming film May December, the actor stunned in a preppy, all-red look featuring a belted mini-dress and blazer by Dior and matching Jimmy Choo heels. Plus, for added star power (not that she needs it!) Natalie completed the look with some super chic black sunglasses. Obsessed!
(Getty Images)Gemma Chan made sure to stand out at the Cannes Film Festival, no mean feat when you've dressed the same colour as the carpet. Wearing a custom Louis Vuitton satin cut-out gown with a dramatic train, she is simply *stunning*.
