Entrepreneur Manuel Zubiri is optimistic for his business this year.
He is the director for purchasing and facilities management of Asian-American restaurant chain P.F. Chang’s and he believes that the food industry is going to grow and the market will expand.
“I’m very confident. Why? Our economy is getting stronger. I believe that in the future, hopefully in the near future, our growth will hit double digits… There’s no way for us to go down. It’s our time. We are going to shine,” he says.
In fact, Zubiri has just opened the second branch of P.F. Chang’s at the W Global Center in Bonifacio Global City in time for Chinese New Year. It joins the restaurant’s Alabang Town Center outlet which opened in January of last year.
To welcome the Year of the Water Snake on Sunday, Feb. 10, P.F. Chang’s is offering dine-in customers who spend P1000 a 20% rebate on the their next visit.
A challenging year for business
It’s good thing that this businessman is determined to succeed this year because according to feng shui master Joseph Chau Kam Shing, the Year of the Water Snake is going to be challenging.
The food industry will face stiff competition, as will businesses related to education, fashion, health and furniture.
Master Chau says, “Financially, money is easy come and easy go. (People) need to save money for the rainy days.”
However he says that real estate, tourism, hotels, and trade businesses will be prosperous.
Conflict and natural disasters
Master Chau says that people will also get into conflicts easily.
He warns people to be wary of natural disasters like rain, flooding, mud flows, landslide, car accidents and typhoon.
Women should also stay on top of their gynecological and stomach concerns.
For men, quarrels with a younger age group may happen.
P-Noy’s love life
Master Chau declined to give predictions about politics, especially with regards to the elections this 2013.
But for President Benigno Aquino III, he says that the romantic stars may align once again for him in this year.
“I can tell you in year 2013, there is a marriage star on him. So it depends on his decision. We cannot tell anything, we cannot decide for him.”
Also, Master Chau says this is a good year for the president. “The feng shui in the Malacañang is lucky so this year the president will have luck.”
Speaking about luck, the feng shui expert says that the lucky colors for this year are white, gold, silver and sky blue. Unlucky colors are green, black, grey and other hues of blue.
He also advises everyone to welcome the Year of the Water Snake with five kinds of fruits that symbolizes harvest like banana, apple, orange, pineapple and pomelo.
