If you’re never seen any of Dove’s commercials or campaigns, you’ve been missing out on some seriously uplifting inspiration. The brand has been creating empowering campaigns to tug on your heart strings, tackling topics like body image and self-esteem for as long as we can remember.

Now, Dove is devoting its attention to the world of women’s hair, encouraging women of all ages and races to love their hair and wear it however they damn please. The new campaign titled Love Your Hair features real stories from women sharing what they’ve been told about wearing their hair a certain way.

Hair has a unique richness and power as a public and physical symbol of self. Unfortunately, young girls and women are often pressured into thinking they have to wear their hair a certain way in order to be accepted by society. The campaign is backed by a Dove hair study revealing that 86 percent of women in the U.S. feel the pressure that the media and society have put on them, dictating how they should wear their hair.
