Louisa Mak: I hope people won't hate me!

22 Jun - If there is one thing Louisa Mak wants from her very first drama, it would be a good reception from the viewers.

As reported on On CC, the former Miss Hong Kong who made her acting debut through TVB's new drama, "Bet Hur", shared that she is anticipating criticism for her performance, saying bluntly, "I just hope that I won't make people hate me!"

It hasn't always been easy for beauty queens to win viewers' trust in their first drama. Grace Chan and Sisley Choi are the best examples when it comes to poor first impressions. And while Sisley had since earned more and more praises, Grace is still facing a lot of criticism for her performance.

Louisa, who acknowledged both possibilities, expressed hope that she will get more constructive criticisms rather than negative ones.

She also admitted that being an actress is a lot more difficult than what she anticipated.

"You would freeze when you're in front of the camera. I know I have this image where I am good with memorisation, but there are many things you have to consider other than that when it comes to filming. You have to get used to the camera pointing at you," she said.

Louisa stated that she is thankful to co-stars Dominic Ho, Joseph Lee, and Carlo Ng, who helped her a lot in prepping up for her first drama.
