Louisa Mak admits stressed with recent controversy

14 Dec – Louisa Mak recently admitted that having people wishing her a happy birthday recently really helped lightened her mood, especially since she has been stressed out with work and what has been happening in the news.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress who celebrated her 26th birthday on 11 December, acknowledged the fact that one of the things that stressed her was the subsequent pressure from her previously admitting to be sexually assaulted in mainland China while she was in her teens.

"I admit it was quite stressful since I opened up about it, but I don't regret it at all. I don't think we should need to hide the past. There is no need to be ashamed of it," she said.

She was also recently accused of having attitude problem, with some claiming that Louisa doesn't greet her seniors at work.

To that she explained, "I am quite a restrained person, and anxious about troubling people. I'm not avoiding people intentionally. I just thought I should respect their privacy. But I will try to change and figure out how to balance it."
