Virgil Abloh is all about making statements: For Louis Vuitton's seventh collection under his helm, he's dropped major news that the luxury brand has partnered with Nike to update its famous Air Force 1 sneakers.

While there is no news on when the collection is dropping in Asia, we can tell you that there are at least 21 colourways.

The Spring-Summer 2022 collection also integrates a number of sustainable measures, including the ongoing employment of re-dyed over-stock fabrics, cradle-to-cradle wool, and certified materials such as wool sourced from responsible farming or cotton sourced from organic agriculture. Washed canvas bags and ready-to-wear workwear use responsible fabrics, while the Tatic trainer is composed of sustainable materials and lining.

We observed Louis Vuitton's check motifs embodied on items like tailored suit jackets to hoodies and tracksuits, whilst a silver foil jacket is accompanied by black outfits inspired by martial arts uniform.

The soundtrack for the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2022 film was created by Musical director Benji B, conceived from references spanning Liquid Swords, classic GZA and Wu-Tang-era textures and samples, Metalheadz-era drum ‘n’ bass, and synthesised elements derived from the scores of martial arts and sci-fi cinema.

In line with the themes of positive change for future generations central to the Spring-Summer 2022 collection, Abloh expands his active commitment to Louis Vuitton’s partnership with Unicef. Launched in 2016, the Silver Lockit is the bracelet devoted to Louis Vuitton’s ongoing partnership with Unicef. With each new design released by the Maison, funds raised through sales of the Silver Lockit support Unicef's emergency programmes.
