Louis Koo wins Best Actor at 2018 Asian Film Awards
23 Mar – Hong Kong actor Louis Koo recently picked up his first ever Asian Film Awards' Best Actor accolade at the ceremony held on Saturday, 17 March.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who was nominated for his role in the action movie, "Paradox", thanked producers Yu Dong, Alvin Chau, and Paco Wong in his speech, and expressed gratitude to Sammo Hung for turning him into the kind of actor he never thought he could be.
"I am not an action star, but you gave me a lot of your time to be one," he said.
When asked about his confidence at winning the award again at the upcoming Hong Kong Film Awards, Louis said that he doesn't want to think too much about it.
"As an actor, the most important thing is to do the best at your job. Winning is fate. I just enjoy the process," he said.
Louis bested other worthy contenders including Korean actor Kim Yoon-seok, and India's Rajkummar Rao.
