Louis Koo wants HKPAG to hold fundraising event

15 Jan – Louis Koo recently revealed that the Hong Kong Performing Artistes Guild is planning to hold a fundraising event in March to raise money for those in the industry who needs help.

As reported on HK01, the actor, who is also the current president of the Guild, shared that the initial plan right now is to hold a concert on 30 March.

When asked if he would perform at the event and sing his song, "Boyfriend", Louis laughed and said, "The performance will mainly be done by new singers."

Aside from raising money for fellow artistes in need, Louis shared that he has also been mingling with singers doing street performances, and has come to understand their issues concerning their performance method and venues.

"I will try and help them resolve their problems," he said.

As for the previous idea of establishing a prestigious music awards that could rival Taiwan's Golden Melody Awards, Louis said that he has no comments about it for now.

"We will talk about it again when the time comes," he said.

It is noted that one of Louis' main priorities when he was elected President of HKPAG was to help veteran actors and people in the industry who are in need of financial and medical assistance.
