Louis Koo honoured with AFA nomination

17 Jan – Hong Kong actor Louis Koo recently expressed his happiness at being nominated for the first time at the upcoming Asian Film Awards.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who is nominated for his role in "Paradox", shared that it is such a recognition for his hard work even though it's just a nomination.

"I have a lot of confidence for "Paradox". Thank you to the entire team, director Wilson Yip, and all friends for their support. Hopefully everybody will continue to support Hong Kong films," he said.

Louis also admitted that he hopes that the movie, which has been nominated for Best Action Film, will win in its category.

Louis will be facing competition from Thai actor Sukollawat Kanarot ("Malila: The Farewell Flower"), Korea's Kim Yun-seok ("1987: When the Day Comes"), Chinese actor Duan Yihong ("The Looming Storm"), and Indian actor Rajkummar Rao ("Newton").

On the other hand, "Paradox" will be competing against "Along with the Gods" (Korea), "Blade of the Immortal" (Japan), "Brotherhood of Blades II" (China), and The Thousand Faces of Dunjia" (China).
