Moss replied: “I'm pansexual so I don't really mind... any gender. It kinda changes every day as well. It depends on who I meet.”

But what does it mean to be pansexual?

The word ‘pansexual’ is derived from the Greek prefix pan, meaning “all”.

To be pansexual means that gender is not factored into the equation at all, whereas bisexuality focuses more on gender.

GLAAD, an organisation supporting LGBTQ+ representation in the media, explained: “While being bisexual means being attracted to more than one gender, being pansexual means being attracted to all gender identities, or attracted to people regardless of gender.”

What other celebrities are pansexual?

Moss joins several other celebrities who have, in recent years, revealed they are pansexual.

Earlier this year Liberal Democrats MP, Layla Moran became the first openly pansexual member of parliament.

At the time, Moran described to PinkNews what it was like to fall in love with a woman: “It was really wonderful on the one hand, but also quite surprising for me in how I had identified before.

“It wasn't really something I had done before or considered before, but sometimes when you meet the right person, it just kind of happens.”

You like beings. You like what you like. Doesn’t have to be a girl or a guy or a he or she or they or this or that. It’s literally you like personality. You just like a being.”

While Miley Cyrus revealed she identified as a pansexual in 2015, she expanded on it a bit more in an interview with Variety in 2016: "I always hated the word 'bisexual', because that’s even putting me in a box. I don’t ever think about someone being a boy or someone being a girl."

British comedian, Joe Lycett originally came out as gay in high school but told inews in 2018 that he now describes himself as pansexual. He added: “I say bisexual because it’s easy for people to understand but I actually don’t quite think it’s that. Pansexual seems to be the closest thing at this point. In the sense that, what I’m attracted to changes depending on intangible things. Sometimes you just look at someone’s thighs and think, ‘Oof, God, yeah’, but the other parts don’t appeal to you. It’s not entirely to do with gender – it’s to do with where you’re at, your upbringing and the kind of person you are. It’s really complicated, like life is.”

Panic! At the Disco frontman, Brendan Urie told Paper Magazine in 2018: “Yeah I guess you could qualify me as pansexual because I really don't care. If a person is great, then a person is great. I just like good people, if your heart's in the right place. I'm definitely attracted to men. It's just people that I am attracted to.”
