London hosted an art exhibition for dogs, so now your pet can be cultured too

In a perfect world, two of our favorite weekend activities, hanging out with our dog and taking a fun trip to a museum, would be combined, so we can do it all at once. Well, thanks to a pioneer in the world of doggie culture, the two don’t have to be separate anymore. And the result is, of course, one of the cutest things you’ll ever see.

Last week in London, Dominic Wilcox hosted an art exhibition made for dogs, so our pups can get a little culture.

According to It’s Nice That, Dominic, an artist and inventor, created interactive art pieces for our canine friends. The exhibits include all kinds of things that stimulate dogs, including paintings, a giant bowl of dog treats and a car window simulation.

In the video, Wilcox says that he hopes the exhibit gets a lot of “doggie tails wagging,” and that one of the points of the exhibit was to get people to spend more time with their pets. We think it’s a great idea, and we definitely would love to take our dog to something like this.

How cute is that? We think our favorite exhibit is Dinnertime Dreams, which is the giant bowl of balls made to look like food, where the pups can frolic. Cruising Canines is the car window simulation installation, which is meant to make a dog feel the joy of the wind in their ears. The exhibit also featured Catch, which holds a dog’s attention with a frisbee bouncing around the screen.

Dominic told It’s Nice That, “Contemporary art has long been an important source of inspiration and fascination for humans, but never before has it been created with a view to drawing the same kind of emotions out of animals instead. While it’s certainly one of the more interesting challenges I’ve faced in my career, it feels great to have created such a truly unique collection of interactive artworks for a completely new audience.”

We appreciate both the artistic integrity of the work as well as the overwhelming cuteness.
