LizQuen shares reason for "White Chicks" Halloween costume

24 Oct – Although there were many celebrities wearing interesting costumes at Black Magic 2019 that was held recently, it could be said that onscreen partners Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil successfully attracted the most attention with their choice of costumes.

As reported on Push, the real-life couple, who last year dressed as The Joker and Pennywise at their own Halloween party, decided to go to the inaugural event as Marcus and Kevin Copeland from the 2004 Hollywood movie, "White Chicks" - specifically Marcus and Kevin in the hideous pink and white swan dress that they wore in the last half of the movie.

Speaking about the inspiration, Soberano said that she was the one who suggested the swan dress, which was originally made famous by Icelandic singer, Bjork.

"It's [Enrique's] favourite movie and he memorised all the lines. So I said, "Let's do something different for Halloween. Instead of something scary, let's do something funny". We came up with this," she said.

Soberano said that it took Gil a while before agreeing to the idea as he was shy about wearing the dress.

"It's Halloween, we can do whatever we want and make it fun," the actress added.

Gil chimed in, saying that he has a new-found respect for women after trying to walk in a pair of high heels to complete the look.

"It kinda looks good on me tonight," the actor said.

The actor also recently posted a video on Instagram of the two of them in another "White Chicks" getup, dancing to Run DMC's "It's Tricky".
