Liza Soberano shares her "Darna" journey with Jane de Leon
4 Dec – After meeting with her successor Jane de Leon, Liza Soberano recently shared what she discussed with the "Darna" actress during their dinner together.
As reported on Push, the actress, who spoke about the meeting with the media recently, stated that she actually shared her own experience in preparing for the iconic role last year, despite having to leave the project soon after due to her finger injury.
"I shared with her the journey that I had to go through in preparation for the character. And I just gave her words of encouragement and kind of like a pep talk on what to like look forward to about the role and everything," she said.
Asked what she thinks of de Leon, Soberano praised the young actress of being very down to earth.
"I think she fits the role. I have no doubt that she can pull it off," she added.
The actress also stated that the other former "Darna" actresses like Angel Locsin and Marian Rivera would definitely give de Leon the same encouragement as they did with her back when she inherited the project.
The upcoming Star Cinema film "Darna" has yet to begin filming.
