Liza Soberano to play Pia Wurtzbach in "MMK"
24 May - Kapamilya star Liza Soberano is set to play Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach in an upcoming episode of "Maalaala Mo Kaya".
As reported on PEP News, the news was revealed by Soberano's talent manager, Ogie Diaz, who shared that Soberano will play the younger version of Wurtzbach in an episode that will revolve around Wurtzbach's life and her family before fame.
The episode will also star Zsa Zsa Padilla, who will play Soberano' mother.
Acknowledging Soberano's beauty, Padilla shared online, "I must admit, it was hard focusing on my lines while looking at her beautiful face. Who knew such beauty could be distracting? But she's such an amazing actor and pretty soon, I felt like I was talking to my very own daughter."
Fans who heard the news expressed their delight, especially since Wurtzbach previously expressed her awe with Soberano's beauty - even suggested that the young starlet join the pageant.
