Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall "used to want a boob job" because she feared she wasn't "sexy" enough to appear in the girl group.
In a joint interview with bandmates Jesy Nelson, Perrie Edwards, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock for Cosmopolitan U.K. magazine, the 27-year-old, who rose to fame on The X Factor U.K. in 2011, confessed body confidence issues have plagued her for years.
"I (always) felt like a boy next to everyone (else). I didn't have a very womanly shape and I've got no t**s," she stated. "I've kind of grown into myself a little bit now but I used to want a boob job. I (felt) that I wasn't sexy enough in the band. I still have that complex now when I go on dates. I think, 'Am I woman enough for someone?' which is silly."
And Leigh-Anne revealed that she too struggled with insecurities after finding fame.
"Being in a girl band, the first thing I did was compare myself to the other girls," the 28-year-old commented. "Jade and I wanted nose jobs. I can't believe I thought like that. I love my nose. I think it's age as well - you just have to learn to love yourself more."
The stars' comments come after Jesy admitted she still has issues with self-confidence, having previously opened up about her past trolling ordeal and suicide attempt in the award-winning BBC documentary, Odd One Out.
"I will never lie and say I absolutely love myself now. There are still things I'm working on. (But) I am 100 per cent better than I was before," she insisted.
