11 Feb – Lin Chi-ling's camp has finally addressed claims that she used a stunt double in her recent Lunar New Year performance, saying that the actress really did perform most of the challenging stunts herself.
As reported on Sina, rumours of Lin not performing her own stunts during her water ballet performance - which previously won her lots of praises - sparked recently, when a netizen shared on Weibo that she was the actress' body double.
After failing to address the rumours herself amid speculations among netizens, Lin's studio recently released a statement, admitting that Lin did use professional help. However, they denied that a majority of her stunts were done by her body double.
"Ninety percent of the [performance] was done by [Lin] herself. As for the remaining 10 percent of the synchronised swimming segment, after much consideration, the production team decided that such a high level stunt should be completed by a professional," her manager stated.
The said performance that utilised the help of a body double was the 6-metre dive, according to Lin's studio.
They also denied allegations that the actress only turned up on the last day of rehearsals, saying that Lin fully respected the team's schedule. This was also pointed out by the production team, who stated that Lin had recorded the performance for six days.
