Lin Chi-ling conquers fear of horse-riding

24 Jul - Lin Chi-ling finally conquered her fears when she decided to get on a horse during the latest episode of her reality show, "Flowers on Trip".

As reported on Epoch Times, the model-actress who joined the other members at a horse ranch in Russia, initially expressed her hesitance to get on one of the horses, as she was reminded of the serious injury she faced in the past.

Back in 2005, Lin was hospitalised after falling off a horse while filming for a commercial in mainland China. Although she has recovered from the accident, the actress stated that she had since decided not to partake in any dangerous activities, especially horse-riding.

However, fellow member Aarif Lee, who was determined to change her mind, slowly took her by the hand and asked Lin to pat the animal. He then rode on one of the horses and assured Lin that it was fine, until she was finally persuaded to get on one when he promised to keep her company.

This isn't the first fear Lin conquered while on the show. The actress, who had said no to diving and had admitted to being afraid of heights, previously tried swimming in the ocean and swinging from a tree.

Lin, who spoke about her first horse ride after 12 years after the filming, said, "This fear has always been inside me for the past [12 years]. Just having Aarif walk it with me, it's the first step for me to overcome my fear. At least I was able to ride it."

Viewers also sang praises for Aarif, for being attentive towards his fellow cast member.
