With the tagline “You know me and you don’t,” the new fragrance from Chanel is proving to be as mysterious as its poster girl: 16-year-old Lily-Rose Depp.

In two new trailers for the perfume, No. 5 L’Eau, Chanel teases what promises to be a new take on an old classic.

Depp is pretty much the perfect face for the new fragrance: We know her (as Jonny Depp and Vanessa Paradis’ daughter) but she’s still so young that we haven’t yet learned all that much about her character and personality.

I'm so excited to announce that I am the face of the new Chanel No. 5 L'EAU! ❤️ @chanelofficial #newchanel5

Back in May, the young actress/model was named the face of No. 5 L’Eau. Since then, Karl Lagerfeld – Chanel’s creative director and head designer – has said Depp is “stunning, she’s a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star.” And she’s following in her mother’s footsteps.

Paradis has long been associated with the Chanel brand — she’s even been called Lagerfeld’s muse — and became an ambassador for the brand in 1990. For her first Chanel ad campaign, she appeared dressed as a bird, modeling the Coco Chanel fragrance.

Lily’s relationship with the brand, on the other hand, started in 2015 — when she was named the face of the Pearl eyewear collection. “Working for a house as beautiful as Chanel, surrounded by such talented, warm people was a wonderful and unique experience for me,she said at the time. “Karl is not only incredibly talented but he’s also made my first experience in fashion an unforgettable, fun time.

Chanel No. 5 L’Eau is due out this fall. We can’t wait to get a whiff!
