Lilia Dizon passes away at 92
16 Jun – Veteran actress Lilia Dizon has recently passed away.
As reported on ABS-CBN News, the sad news was shared by the actress' daughter Toni Abad on Facebook on the morning of 15 June.
She wrote, "The angels are rejoicing! Mom is now worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ not by faith, but by sight. She is now with our father God in heaven. No more pain, no more tears, no more suffering. She left us at exactly 8:20 this morning."
"I'm posting this with much sorrow because I will miss her. I love you Mom! Rest In Peace in the hands of our creator."
Dizon, who is also the mother of actor Christopher de Leon through her first marriage with actor Gil de Leon, starred in several films in the 1950s since her debut in 1946, including 1951's "Venus" and "Dugo sa Dugo", 1955's "Sanda Wong", and 1961's "The Moises Padilla Story".
Her remain will be cremated at the Heritage Memorial Park in Taguig.
She was 92.
