Lili Reinhart wants women to stop hiding their natural skin under layers of make-up.
The 23-year-old became CoverGirl's latest celebrity ambassador back in October, and recently made her debut as the face of the make-up giant's new Clean Fresh range, which is vegan-friendly and free of sulphates and parabens.
Now, Lili has shared that she was overjoyed to front the new natural collection, especially because the cruelty-free products reflect "what I stand for and how I wear my make-up on a daily basis”.
“I love to experiment with make-up, but people are getting in a bad habit of hiding their skin under layers and layers of product,” she explained to People. “I’m working with CoverGirl on this campaign to promote the idea that natural skin is beautiful.”
The Clean Fresh range features a lightweight foundation, a tinted lip oil, a glow stick, and a long-lasting cream blush, and was created to enhance natural skin, rather than mask it.
Despite spending hours in the make-up chair for her role on Riverdale and for red carpet events, Lili is a fan of the "less is more" approach to beauty products, and only wears make-up when she needs it.
“I’ve learned you don’t have to over powder your face and letting your actual pores show is actually really beautiful in photos,” the actress shared. “That’s what I like.”
Lili added that her go-to products from CoverGirl's extensive range include the ashy brown-toned eyebrow pencil, the Clean Fresh Lip Tinted Oil because it “applies like a stain”, and the CoverGirl Lash Blast Mascara.
