Chrissy Teigen posted a naked pregnancy selfie for Mother's Day and people are freaking out: 'You're better than this'

On Sunday, Chrissy Teigen celebrated her first Mother’s Day as a mom of two. To mark the occasion, the cookbook author and TV personality opened up the archives to share an intimate, and completely nude, photo from one of her past pregnancies.

Teigen — who has a 3-year-old daughter, Luna, and a nearly 1-year-old son, Miles, with husband John Legend — wears nothing but a hair towel in the revealing shot

“The best thing I’ve ever made are my babies,” she captioned it. “Thank you for making me a mommy and changing my life forever.”

Teigen’s fans and famous friends, including Paris Hilton, rushed to praise the “beautiful” image.

“My 8-year-old just saw this and said ‘look how cool her body looks,’” read one comment.

“Wish I looked as good as this not pregnant,” joked another commenter.

But the nudity prompted some trolling, too.

“Couldn’t you deliver this nice message with some clothes on?” griped one critic.

“I think dressing up is better,” another commented.

“Really.... come on Chrissy,” read another comment. “You’re better than this.”

“Not to be rude but why,” added a commenter, while one critic complained that the photo “should be private.” Others accused her of wanting “Kim K attention,” a reference to Teigen’s friend Kim Kardashian.

Though Teigen frequently fires back at her critics, she hasn’t yet responded to the negative comments her Mother’s Day post has received. Her fans, however, have.

“Leave her be,” shot back one supporter. “It's a sweet Mother's Day post and she's appreciating her body which grew two babies.”

“If there was ever a time to shame someone’s body, it would definitely not be when a woman is creating life inside of her,” added a commenter.

“Her body, her picture, her IG account,” another fan responded. “I think she has the right to do whatever she wants with each of those things.”

Teigen’s pregnancy selfie wasn’t her only Mother’s Day post of the day. In support of her #MyWishForMoms campaign to help raise awareness about postpartum depression and anxiety, she shared photos in which she and her children are undressed or wrapped in a towel.

Again, many gushed about the “amazing” and “authentic” images, but some took her to task for not wearing clothes. One even accused her of exposing her daughter to “sick-minded people,” prompting the star’s fans to come to her defense.
