Liam Payne sent a sweet (and then very real) message to fans about becoming a father

Following the happy news that he’d welcomed his baby son into the world, Liam Payne sent a sweet (then real) shoutout to his fans, and it’s super cute.

It was revealed on Sunday (March 26th) that Liam Payne’s partner, British singer and TV star Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, had given birth to a beautiful baby boy, and we couldn’t have been happier for the pair of them. In post shared on Instagram, Liam shared the first picture of himself cradling his newborn son (!), writing how he had been left speechless.

“I’m incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world,” he wrote, “it’s a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far.”

Also sharing the news was Cheryl, who shared the same picture, writing, “On Wednesday 22nd March Liam and I became parents to an incredibly beautiful, healthy baby boy, weighing 7lb 9 and looking like a dream. Although he still doesn’t have a name he is already stealing hearts. We are all madly in love and overwhelmingly happy with our little arrival.”

Well, Liam Payne has now shared another shoutout to his fans, and it’s totally adorable.

Taking to Twitter, the former One Direction band member sent his thanks out to his fanbase.

That wasn’t the only thing that Liam wanted to share with his fans, however. No, the singer — who is expected to follow in the footsteps of Harry Styles and Zayn Malik and release his own solo record at some point this year — also shared one of the realities of being a new parent: copious amounts of diapers (or nappies as they’re called in the U.K.).

LOL! It’s nice to see that Liam is adjusting to the realities of fatherhood! We couldn’t be happier for him and Cheryl as they enter into this new journey in their lives.
