Li Na confirms Hu Ge plays her husband in biopic
3 Apr – It looks like the rumours are true after all - Hu Ge is indeed playing tennis player Jiang Shan in the upcoming biopic "LINA".
As reported on Epoch Times, the rumours was confirmed by tennis champion Li Na herself during an interview at The Road to Wimbledon Beijing 2019, when it was mentioned that the outside world has been concerned about the male lead in the movie.
"It's Hu Ge!" she said.
Rumours of Hu playing Jiang Shan - Li Na's teammate turned husband and personal coach - sparked early this year, after the actor was spotted with director Peter Chan watching a game at the Australian Open.
He was also seen in Wuhan at the end of November, which many said was where the production of "LINA" was filming.
Although the studio is still keeping mum about the cast, French actor Vincent Cassel also recently confirmed that he is playing one of Li Na's coaches in the film.
