Lewis Hamilton swaps gear sticks for guns as he trains for debut movie role
Six-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton is shifting gears for his latest career move, training to make the jump to being a big screen action man.
Hamilton revealed the news to his 14 million Instagram followers, declaring that he has started work preparing for his first movie role.
The 35-year-old racing ace — one of the most decorated F1 drivers of all time — shared several videos of himself firing guns on a shooting range used by Keanu Reeves to train for the John Wick franchise.

Hamilton even issued a cheeky challenge to Reeves in his caption and told Creed star Michael B. Jordan he was “coming for your job” after showcasing his impressive sharp-shooting ability.
“I’ve always loved action movies and dreamed of one day being in one,” he wrote.
He added: “This is where Keanu Reeves trains for his John Wick movies so I came here to start training for my first movie role.
“This is only day one, was a super fun few hours in a safe professional environment. Keanu, gimme a call, man’s ready.”

There are not currently any further details available about the 35-year-old’s debut movie project.
Reeves, meanwhile, is presumably taking to the shooting range himself in preparation for the return of two of his most iconic action characters in Matrix 4 and the fourth John Wick adventure.
Both movies are due for release on the same day in May 2021.
Hamilton was warned off his challenge to Reeves by fellow F1 driver Lando Norris, who commented on the Instagram post, writing: “No point trying to go against John Wick... no matter if you have a good shot, he never dies.”

While this will be Hamilton’s debut in a fiction feature, the star previously flirted briefly with the movie industry as an interviewee and producer of documentary The Game Changers.
The film focused on the benefits of plant-based diets, particularly for athletes.
Other sports stars involved in that project included tennis star Novak Djokovic and NBA pro Chris Paul, with Hollywood icons Arnold Schwarzenegger, James Cameron and Jackie Chan on board as well.
