New Leonardo DiCaprio films are rare these days. He hasn’t appeared in a movie since he finally bagged that elusive Best Actor Oscar back in 2016 for The Revenant, but now he’s back in front of the camera teaming up with Quentin Tarantino and Brad Pitt for Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

New Tarantino films are similarly scarce with the Pulp Fiction director’s last film The Hateful Eight hitting cinemas over two years ago, so having a new DiCaprio/Tarantino joint in the pipeline is a cause for celebration and now we have our first look at the duo’s so-called “Charles Manson movie”.

Leo shared the first picture from the set via his Instagram account. Check it out below.

It shows DiCaprio alongside co-star Brad Pitt in 1960s garb stood on what looks like an old Hollywood sound stage. DiCaprio is rumoured to be playing a TV actor looking to break into movies, while Pitt plays his blue-collar stunt double. The film is set to the backdrop of the 1969 Charles Manson murders and will also star Margot Robbie as doomed actress Shannon Tate.

“It takes place during the 1969 Hollywood era at the height of the counterculture explosion, at the time of the hippie revolution,” Tarantino said during a presentation at Cinemacon earlier this year.

“During the summer, little by little, block by block, we’ll be transforming Los Angeles in the psychedelic Hollywood of 1969.”

Burt Reynolds, Al Pacino, Damien Lewis, Dakota Fanning, Luke Perry, James Marsden, and Timothy Olyphant join Tarantino regulars Tim Roth, Michael Madsen and Zoe Bell in supporting roles.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is shooting in Los Angeles now and is scheduled for release in 2019.
