It’s one of those classic films that can be quoted for days, and now you can get it as a Lego set. While there has been some debate as to whether Home Alone is truly a Christmas movie or not, it’s coming out just in time to be a must-buy holiday gift. The detailed set includes iconic scenes that make the movie so memorable.

The Home Alone Lego set is based off of the first film that came out in 1990, so the main structure is the McCallister house. There are five mini figurines of Kevin McCallister, Harry, Marv (who even has an iron burn mark on his face), Kate, and old man Marley, as well as Easter eggs sprinkled throughout the house. You might have already spotted the Michael Jordan cardboard cutout that Kevin used to convince the Wet Bandits that his family was home, and the treehouse that helps Kevin escape from his booby trap infested house.

The 3,955-piece set was designed for ages 18 and older. Once your creation is complete, it’ll stand at 10.7 inches tall and 13.7 inches wide. Want to display your hard work? The walls split in the middle to allow the house to open sideways and roof opens upwards. That will provide a full reveal of the interior, where scenes from Home Alone are playing out before your very eyes.

We have Alex Storozhuk, from Ukraine, to thank for the Home Alone set coming to life. He submitted it to Lego as a product idea in February 2019. The idea received over 10,000 votes in 10 months, and now you can own one. The new set will be available in Lego retail stores and on Lego.com beginning on Nov. 1, 2021 for $249.99.

“Come on, you guys all know what Home Alone is! Let’s talk about what this movie has become to thousands of us around the globe. To our family Home Alone is a Christmas tradition, symbol and a very warm memories of childhood! So in this project me and my wife Nadya tried to put as much love and details as we could!” Alex wrote.

To rally even more excitement around the brick two-story home, Lego is celebrating Kevins around the world and launching a global search for the Kevin McCallister minifigure. Want to get involved?
