26 Nov – After she was featured in a video to share about her struggle with panic disorder to promote the Mental Health Foundation, beauty queen Lee San San recently shared that Cantopop diva Sammi Cheng has helped her a lot in overcoming her condition.
As reported on Mingpao, in a Facebook Live interview that she started on the foundation's official page on 24 November, Lee spoke in detail about her battle with her mental health problem, and the reason for her decision to film a clip for the said foundation.
"I am glad that the disease has been controlled and my medication has been reduced. The doctor said that my recovery rate is faster than expected," she said.
Lee also stated that it is important to talk to your loved ones about your condition, and said that Sammi - who is known to have battled depression in the past - was one of the few people who really helped her a lot.
"I am thankful to Sammi for being with me. It would have been more painful without her. She was like a little angel, who would cheer me up and inspire me. She supported me in all aspects and lifted my spirit," she said.
The actress added that she would never be able to express fully how grateful she is for the singer's help.
Aside from Sammi, Lee also thanked Louis Koo for helping her shoot the video, Bowie Lam for driving her to the hospital on several occasions, as well as other celebrity friends like Steven Ma and Laurinda Ho.
