Lea Salonga joins "Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin"
29 Sep – Lea Salonga has recently been named one of the cast members of the upcoming reboot of "Pretty Little Liars".
On 28 September, the Filipina musical star shared the good news on Instagram with an image of her and the rest of the actresses who have been cast in the mother roles for the highly-anticipated series.
"The moms have descended upon the town of Millwood! And we have secrets and lies of our own (can't let the children have all the fun)! So excited to be part of the cast of Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin!" she posted.
According to Deadline, Lea will be playing a character named Elodie, an overbearing mother who works overtime to keep her daughter Minnie safe following a childhood trauma.
Minnie will be played by actress Malia Pyles.
Aside from Lea, other new additions include Sharon Leal (Dream Girls), and Elena Goode (Straight Outta Compton). They will appear opposite lead actors Chandler Kinney, Maia Reficco, Bailee Madison, Zaria, Malia Pyles, Alex Aiono, Mallory Bechtel and Eric Johnson.
The upcoming reboot will be helmed by showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa of "Riverdale" and "Sabrina The Teenage Witch" fame.
