6 Sep – Lea Salonga recently expressed frustration over the latest rumours about herself that have been circulating the social media.
As reported on Inquirer, on 4 September, the musical star shared two articles on Facebook that she dismissed as being untruthful, writing, "Yet another fake ad saying I've been fired from 'The Voice' and hawking some skin product. Neither of these things are true."
"Posting screenshots here (one of the FB feed snippet that leads to the article and the article itself)," she added.
One of the articles claimed that she was fired from "The Voice Kids" after "speaking the truth", while another article, which supposedly came from "Entertainment Today Insider News" but with a different link, read, "Lea Salonga announces Departure from 'The Voice".
In the comments, Salonga stated that she hopes that these perpetrators would get caught so that the whole phishing operation would be destroyed.
This is not the first time that the Tony-winning actress became a victim of internet scam. Back in June, she warned fans of a fake Lea Salonga account requesting money from her fans.
