Lawmaker's Wife Begs Voters to Re-Elect Husband
Texas County Commissioner Gerald Daugherty is running for re-election and, in a new viral ad, wife Charlyn begs Texans to re-elect him because she doesn’t want to be stuck at home with a policy wonk. The unusual ad portrays Daugherty not with constituents, but at home, where he’s boring his friends and family by talking about railcars and transportation issues.
"All he wants to do is fix things," she says.
"Please re-elect Gerald," Charlyn pleads. "Please."
