Law Kar Ying: Accident happens!

25 Sep – Hong Kong veteran actor Law Kar Ying recently defended the production of "Amazing Spring" over recent fire that injured nearly 30 of its actors, including actress Sharon Yeung Pan Pan.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who just returned to Hong Kong from filming the movie in Malaysia following the accident, shared that the crew did all their best to ensure the safety of the cast, even arranging firefighters and ambulances at the scene before the shooting started.

"I understand, though the security measures have been done well, things happen. In fact, the location where the fire was started was set far away from everyone," he said.

Law said that Sharon was hurt because she wanted to help other people, but ended up falling to the ground. The actor did take some time off to visit Sharon prior to his return to Hong Kong.

When asked if he would be traumatised by the accident, even if he wasn't part of the scene when it happened, the veteran actor said that he is already used to it.

Law also revealed that there is no issue as to whether or not the movie will continue as it was already nearly completed.

"All of my scenes, as well as Sharon's have been shot. The movie will be released as scheduled," he added.
