Lauren Young expresses support for ABS-CBN

14 Jul – Kapuso actress Lauren Young has recently expressed support for her former network ABS-CBN.

Amid the ongoing contract renewal issue between NTC and the said network, the actress took to social media to share an old photo of her back when she auditioned for the company.

She wrote, "I was 11 years old when ABS-CBN gave me a chance. I remember walking into the audition and meeting AJ for the first time, we talked for a bit (little did I know I was talking to my first and future loveteam) then I was called in to share my "talent". I sang "Sana" by Nikki Gil from the Coke commercial during that time and did a cheerleading routine for my "dance" part."

"I was just a little girl from Subic Bay fighting for a dream in the big city - I had no idea during that time that that said dream would eventually come true. ABS-CBN invested and trained me into the actress that I am today and opened the door to so many opportunities. I will forever be grateful to everything that was given to me because of this break and it breaks my heart to see thousands of employees suffer during this time. My heart is with you."

Young added that it is important that everybody uses their voice to fight for what is right, no matter what network they are from.

Young started her career with ABS-CBN in 2006 by signing with Star Magic, before moving to GMA Artist Centre in 2012 and remained a Kapuso until today.
