Lau Siu Kwan confident in overcoming COVID-19

27 Jul – Lau Siu Kwan recently revealed that he has already been admitted to the hospital following news that Robert Mak was diagnosed with COVID-19.

Lau, who participated in a performance with Robert in Tsim Sha Tsui on 10 July, told Mingpao that he underwent lung inspection after admission, given his blood sample and went to get various check-ups including an electrocardiogram (ECG).

"The x-ray report the day before yesterday showed that the lungs were fine and everything was normal. I have already seen the doctor and had no fever. The doctor gave a detailed explanation to me, and I was very satisfied," he said.

According to the doctor, said Lau, the virus reproduced immediately after entering the body and that the ideal time for treatment is within seven days - in which they will give him several injections and wait for him to recover.

Lau also stated that he is confident that he will overcome the illness, but will not be in a hurry to leave the hospital.

"I want the virus in the body to be completely eliminated before being discharged," he added.

Asked him why he suspected that he had the coronavirus, the actor revealed that he started feeling dizzy three to four days ago, which he thought would have been the time that the virus started to infect him.
