Lau Pa Sat to transform into fashion runway for F1 show

Hawker food haunt Lau Pa Sat will be turned into a fashion runway during the Formula 1 season next month.

In the lead-up to the F1 weekend, the iconic heritage site will host a fashion show on 13 September from 7.00pm till late. The show will feature collections from local designers Sabrina Goh and Amos Ananda, and is curated by producer Jeremy Tan. Models on the catwalk include Sheila Sim, Angie Watkins and Jason Godfrey.

An exclusive fashion collection by the show’s sponsor, F1’s global beer partner Heineken, will also be showcased at the event for the first time in Asia.

Other highlights include the unveiling of a bespoke series of F1 helmets designed by Jahan Loh, live mannequins featuring designs from LASALLE graduates, an appearance from former racer and Heineken Global F1 Ambassador David Coulthard, as well as aerial servers, dance acts and local fusion music performances.

The event is by invitation only, but members of the public can catch the action through a live stream of the fashion show at the satay street at Lau Pa Sat from 9pm to 10.15pm.
