Lashana Lynch lining up for the Miss Honey role in the 'Matilda' movie musical
Bond star Lashana Lynch is reportedly all set to join the cast of the musical movie version of the hit stage show Matilda.
According to Variety, Lynch is being lined up to play Miss Honey, the inspirational teacher who takes the gifted five-and-a-half-year-old Matilda under her wing.
She’ll join No Time To Die co-star Ralph Fiennes in the the anticipated movie, which will adapt the award-trawling stage version of Roald Dahl's beloved book. The M actor is set to play the fearsome Miss Trunchbull, a role traditionally played by a man in the stage show.
Writer Dennis Kelly will adapt his own play for the movie, which is being made by Working Title and Netflix, with all the stage show's original music by comedian and composer Tim Minchin.

The musical, staged by the Royal Shakespeare Company, premiered in the West End in 2011.
A year later, it had won seven Olivier awards, tied with Hamilton as the most awards earned by a musical.
Its Broadway run began in 2013, landing the show a further five Tony awards.
American stage actor Lauren Ward played the role of Miss Honey in the original West End and Broadway productions, with British star Bertie Carvel playing the maniacal Miss Trunchbull, the teacher who terrorises Matilda and her classmates.
Matthew Warchus, who directed the stage show, will also me behind the camera for the movie.
Lynch, meanwhile, will next be seen in the new Bond movie, No Time To Die.
She plays Nomi, the British agent who has taken over the code number 007 in the absence of Daniel Craig's Bond, who has been out of active service.
After many delays, the movie will land on 2 April, 2021, a whole year late.
