Lana Wong laments on the Coronavirus panic

10 Feb – Veteran actress Lana Wong recently expressed her frustration over the unnecessary panic that has plagued the city of Hong Kong since the outbreak of the Coronavirus.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress who was on the streets of the South Village to help donate face masks to the public, shared that it was preposterous how everybody has been emptying out supermarkets and grocery stores of cleaning supplies and food - especially rice - since last week.

"There is no need to do this. Masks are irreplaceable, but without rice you can still eat noodles and bread," she said.

On the other hand, one of those familiar faces seen in queue of the face masks distribution line was Chow Yun Fat's older sister Chow Chung Ling.

When asked about Chow, Lana said that she was the one who called her to come.

"I heard that she doesn't have enough masks, so I contacted her and told her to get it here. Although she is my good sister, she still has to line up fairly like everybody else," she added.
