Lam Suet: I never expected that I could win!
24 Mar - Hong Kong actor Lam Suet admitted that he was surprised upon being announced the winner of Best Supporting Actor at the recently held Asian Film Awards.
As reported on On CC, the actor, who won for his role in "Trivisa", stated that he didn't prepare anything for his speech as he didn't expect to win at all.
"I have been nominated many times, but would come home empty-handed every time. So, this time, I was really unprepared," he said.
However, Lam still remembered to thank "Trivisa" producer Johnnie To, whom he said to have helped him "from behind the scenes to the front".
The actor defeated other worthy contenders including Ma Dong-seok ("Train to Busan") and Dong Chengpeng ("I Am Not Madame Bovary").
