Lam Lei announces engagement to Taiwanese girlfriend
17 May – Hong Kong actor Lam Lei recently announced that he has successfully proposed marriage to his 30-year-old Taiwanese girlfriend, Erin.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who shared the good news on social media, revealed that he decided to pop the question when Erin came to Hong Kong earlier this month.
"When I saw her at the airport lobby, I approached her and asked her to marry me. She cried and said yes. A man should always organise a romantic surprise for their other half," he said with a smile.
When asked about the wedding plans, the 50-year-old actor said that he will be busy with work until November, thus will only be available at the end of the year or sometime next year.
"We want it to be simple. We will register our marriage in Hong Kong, have our pre-wedding shoot, and then take a cruise to Europe," he said.
Asked what drew him to Erin, Lam said that they both share similar personalities and common interests.
