Lai Lok Yi will continue to support Ali Lee
18 Sep – VB actor Lai Lok Yi has dismissed the idea that "Who Wants a Baby?" co-star Ali Lee is dragging him down following rumours that they will be replaced by Eliza Sam and Kenneth Ma in the sequel.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who also admitted to have not heard of the said rumour, stated that he is still happy to have had a chance to work with Ali in the 2018 series, and will continue to support her despite allegations that she has been supporting the Hong Kong independence movement.
Asked if he is disappointed that they may not return for the sequel, Lai said that it was unfortunate, but necessary.
"The drama was our masterpiece. It wouldn't be good to have any one of us missing from the sequel as it would not have the same feel, so it is better if they just find a whole new cast and story instead," he said.
Lai also admitted that filming a sequel is always stressful as viewers will already have certain expectation of them.
"So everything is fine now. We will have great memories," he said.
