Lai Lok Yi admits wife has more power in relationship
28 Mar – It has been many years since he married his rich girlfriend Nicole and proved that he doesn't rely on her wealth, but Lai Lok Yi admitted that the negative comments about their marriage have yet to subside.
However, according to On CC, the actor is not one to pay attention to the insults coming his way.
"It's enough that my family knows and recognises what I am doing. I will continue to work hard to show everyone what I am capable of doing. I may not be able to surpass my father in-law's wealth, but at least I am capable of taking care of my wife and our son," he said.
When mentioned that people think his wife has more power in their relationship, Lai had no issues agreeing to the idea.
"The husband should always be the one to take the initiative to mend things. My wife has a better education than me, so of course she handles a lot of things, including our son's education," he said.
He also regarded Nicole as his good luck charm.
"After marrying her, my career has been doing better and better. I believe in Feng Shui, but my wife said that I don't need to put auspicious items in the house. I only need her. That I agree," he said.
