De La Soul releases 'and the Anonymous Nobody'
De La Soul has released its much-awaited "and the Anonymous Nobody" album, reports Engadget, after a successful Kickstarter project.
The 17-track album features samples from jam sessions with LA-area musicians like Snoop Dogg, Jill Scott, Usher, Pete Rock and Damon Albarn (of Gorillaz). Members Posdnuos, Dave and Maseo formed De La Soul in 1987 in Long Island, New York and are best known for their contributions to the alternative hip hop movement. "and the Anonymous Nobody" will be their ninth album.
