Kylie Jenner has been forced to cancel her appearance at Paris Fashion Week because she's "really sick".

The 22-year-old was due to unveil her new make-up collaboration with Balmain's creative director Olivier Rousteing on Friday during the French fashion house's spring/summer 2020 runway show.

Kylie was also gearing up to serve as the artistic director for make-up at Balmain's show, during which the Kylie X Balmain capsule cosmetics collection will be unveiled.

However, she announced on Wednesday that she would no longer be attending the show due to illness.

"Unfortunately, I'm really sick and unable to travel," the Kylie Cosmetics mogul wrote in a note shared on Twitter. "I'm heartbroken to be missing this show, but I know that my amazing team, and my friends who are in town for the event, will help me be there in spirit."

According to TMZ, the reality star was rushed to hospital with "severe, flu-like" symptoms such as nausea and dizziness, prompting the mother-of-one to seek immediate treatment.

In her note, Kylie heaped praise on Olivier, a close friend of the Kardashian-Jenner family.

"Creating this collection with Olivier has been a dream. Of course this collection isn't just for the runway... I created this so that you could have a piece of this once in a lifetime event," Kylie continued.

"I'm SO proud of this collection and of Olivier, and our friendship, vision and creativity really comes across in the products we created for you guys. Make sure you guys watch the show with me on Friday... I love you Olivier, congratulations, and I'm sending you all my love!!!"

The Kylie X Balmain collection features lip gloss, a lip kit consisting of a blush pink liquid lipstick and soft chocolate nude lip liner, and a nine-pan eyeshadow palette.
