See Kristen Wiig's New Look For 'Zoolander 2'

Kristen Wiig may have had a little (temporary) work done for her role in Zoolander 2. On set yesterday in Rome, the actress was transformed into what looks like an aging fashion queen, complete with comically plumped lips, enhanced cheekbones, and drawn-on eyebrows. Even wackier than her unrecognizable face is her mile-high triangle of hair, which looks more like something from a Dr. Seuss book than a Valentino runway.

Wiig’s role in the film hasn’t been announced, but her villainous appearance and crazy hair game suggest that she may have something to do with original Zoolander villain Mugatu (Will Ferrell) who’s reportedly back for the sequel. She and Ferrell are former Saturday Night Live castmates, but Wiig has many other connections with the Zoolander gang, including her role as Ben Stiller’s love interest in the last film he directed, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. She also appears alongside Stiller’s Zoolander 2 co-star Owen Wilson in this summer’s crime comedy Masterminds.

Zoolander 2, a sequel to Stiller’s 2001 comedy about male fashion models, was announced at Paris Fashion Week in March. The film features the return of runway rivals Derek Zoolander (Stiller) and Hansel McDonald (Wilson), but few plot details have been released. Zoolander 2 opens in theaters on February 16, 2016.
