Kristal Tin challenges herself with new drama

24 Feb - Although she has played a mother in previous dramas, Kristal Tin admitted that her mummy role in the upcoming drama, "My Ages Apart" will be a new challenge for her.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who joins the star-studded cast of the aforementioned TVB 50th anniversary drama, stated that she will play the role of Bobby Au Yeung's wife, who is also a mother to an 18-year-old daughter, that is to be played by Jessica Kan.

"My character is a woman who is too subservient to her husband. However, she has to rely on herself when her husband gets into an accident," she explained.

When asked why it would be a challenge to play such a role this time, Kristal stated that it would be the first time that she is playing a mother to a teenager.

"With children, it's easy for you to get into character when you interact with them. But this time, my daughter is already a big girl, I can't use the same communication method to talk to her," she said.

However, Kristal said that she has learned a lot from the initial collaboration with Jessica, saying that it has brought back memories of her rebellious years.

"I am now more aware of what my mother had to go through. To be a mother, you really have to have a selfless dedication," she said.
