Krispy Kreme’s New Carnival Treats Will Transport You To The Fair
Last summer, tons of carnivals and state fairs were cancelled due to safety concerns related to the pandemic. Now, as carnivals are back in business for the summer, the flavors of your go-to fair streets are more nostalgic than ever before but you don't have to go to the festival grounds to taste them. Krispy Kreme has a brand new carnival-inspired donut line up that offers creative takes on your favorite sweets.
Starting today at participating Krispy Kreme donut shops, fans can pick up the Carnival Collection to start their mornings right or to save for dessert. The three new donuts drew flavor inspo from classic carnival items like caramel apple, caramel popcorn, and cotton candy.
Because Krispy Kreme never does anything halfway, each donut offers much more than just a new flavored glaze. The caramel apple donut is a shell donut filled with caramel apple Kreme, dipped in green apple icing, and drizzles with caramel then completed with rainbow sprinkles and a pretzel stick to really look the part. The cotton candy donut is an original glazed donut dipped in an additional layer of cotton candy-flavored icing, covered in cotton candy sugar, then topped with buttercream and rainbow sprinkles. Finally, the caramel popcorn donut is a glazed shell donut filled with caramel popcorn Kreme and topped with caramel drizzle and pieces of actual caramel popcorn.
This news comes right off the heels of Krispy Kreme's $1 dozen promotion in honor of their birthday, so it seems that Krispy Kreme is bringing in their 84th year on a high note. To 84 more years of epic donut flavors and celebratory discounts!!
