Kris Aquino to sign a movie contract in Hollywood

The Queen of All Media has flown off to the United States to ink a movie deal

20 Apr - Kris Aquino recently revealed that she will be flying off to Hollywood to sign a movie contract with an agent.

The actress, who announced the good news on Instagram, revealed that she was contacted by award-winning Broadway producer Jhett Tolentino, who was helping a friend to reach her, and asked if she would like to audition for a big Hollywood studio movie.

"The pressure was I had to submit my reel in 72 [hours]. I felt I had nothing to lose, so we went for it. 48 [hours] after Jhett's call, on [25 March], we mounted an audition shoot in Manila Peninsula," she shared.

Aquino added, "Tonight I fly to Los Angeles to meet Chris Lee, my agent to sign my contract. I passed [five] levels of intense scrutiny and was offered a role."

However, Aquino stated that she couldn't share anything about the movie for the time being since she has signed a non-disclosure agreement.

Aquino added that it was a blessing for her, after experiencing rejection for the past year because, as she stated, "hiring an Aquino for television was a political risk not worth taking".

The Queen of All Media recently made her comeback through the show, "Trip ni Kris", but ruined her working relationship with the producer Rhodora Morales after she accused the latter's son of using her for political gain.

She had since apologised to Morales.
