Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker got engaged yesterday and the time has come to talk details. Because, yes, a ton of people (including random hotel guests) saw the proposal go down and sources are now enthusiastically chatting to E!, former home of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

According to an insider who spoke to the outlet, Kourtney was completely shocked by the proposal and “had no idea” it was coming.

“It happened during the sunset at Rosewood Miramar,” the source says. “They had just got back from NYC and decided to do a day trip to Montecito. Kourtney thought it was going to be a casual day, as they always go to Rosewood, and she was totally thrown off.”

Of course, once she walked down to the beach and saw a giant sea of roses, Kourt realized what was about to go down. “[Kourtney] knew the second she walked down the steps and saw the huge floral arrangements that it was happening,” the source says, adding that Travis got down on one knee and “professed his love for her and thanked her for making him a better person. It was super emotional and sentimental. Kourtney was so happy and was definitely emotional. She teared up and couldn’t stop saying ‘I love you.’”

Kravis then celebrated with the entire Kardashian family as well as Travis’s kids, who the source says “were all in on it and surprised them afterward inside the hotel. They are all celebrating in the restaurant and have a private area.”

Oh, and FYI, another source tells Entertainment Tonight that “Kourtney and Travis are over the moon. Getting engaged was always their natural next step and they are so thrilled. The proposal was gorgeous and romantic and everything Kourtney wanted.”

Can’t wait for this proposal to hopefully air on whatever Hulu’s new Kardashians reality show is called!
