Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster launches new 2019 collection
To celebrate the launch of its new ‘13’ collection, and the grand opening of its 2nd South East Asian flagship boutique at Marina Bay Sands, Korean eyewear brand Gentle Monster invited a slew of Asian celebrities to the by-invite-only event. Hallyu stars Ji Soo and Kim So-hyun of Korean drama Page Turner, along with Thai celebrities Lydia Sarunrat Deane and Rathfar Chaichueanjit, as well as local celebrities such as Julie Tan, Ethen Lee Teng, The Sam Willows and Constance Lau turned up at the launch event on 21st February at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. The 2019 collection imagines a future where the drift between Earth and Moon created the 13th lunar month ‘Undecember’, caused by the shift of paradigm. Even the interior design at the store, named ‘The Data Addicts’, complements the apocalyptic theme where it describes the modern-day people who always seem obsessed and overwhelmed by the invalid information they receive daily. The new ‘13’ collection is available at both Gentle Monster Singapore flagship stores in ION Orchard and Marina Bay Sands.
