The recent hit drama Descendants of the Sun peaked at 28.5% rating nationwide in Korea with Episode 6, beating even the finale of My Love From the Star. It was also reported that the show was sold to Japan for close to $1.7 million, a sharp increase in the last 3 years. Descendants of the Sun has also drawn millions of viewers in China on iQiyi and has been topping the search charts on Weibo.
