Korean rapper Iron is in trouble with the law after allegedly hitting his ex-girlfriend in the head with his fist, reportedly after she rejected his demands while they were having sex.

According to Yonhap News on Tuesday (14 March), the incident occurred at his home in central Seoul in September 2016.

Iron, whose real name is Jung Heon-cheol, was also accused of assaulting his ex-girlfriend a few weeks later at his home when she said she wanted to break up with him. Prosecutors who spoke to Yonhap News about the indictment said that the victim sustained bruises and fractures after this attack.

The 25-year-old artist also allegedly cut himself in the thigh with a weapon taken from his kitchen and threatened her with it. He told her that if she reported this to the police, he would tell them that she stabbed him.

Since the release of these reports, Iron spoke up in an interview with the Korean media, claiming that he had been falsely accused and that his ex-girlfriend is a ‘masochist’.

“She has this twisted idea of how she should be treated. She always asked for me to beat her and said that was the only way she derived pleasure,” he added.

Iron met the aforementioned ex-girlfriend during a shoot for his album, and Korean netizens have been quick to trawl her Instagram account for signs of her ‘masochistic’ nature.

Netizens captured screenshots of the photos she uploaded, which contained disturbing images of her bruises, bloody underwear and a doll in a compromising position, among others, leading many to speculate if Iron was really falsely accused.
